Lieutenant Crown is a member of the United States Marine Corps, stationed at the Beta Site.

History

Crown was one of two Lieutenants (with Aiden Ford) assigned to Colonel Marshall Sumner's Marine detail, as part of the initial Atlantis Expedition. While Lieutenant Ford was selected for Major John Sheppard's reconnaissance team, Crown was given a team of her own: a Marine detail that filled a similar role to SG-3 at Stargate Command, providing support for teams in the field as required. At one point she was exposed to an Ancient Nanovirus that caused hallucinations and had proven fatal in others, but was cured when an eletromagnetic pulse was used to disable the nanites en masse.  (ATL: "Hot Zone")

After the arrival of the Daedalus, and the restoration of contact between Earth and Atlantis, Crown was one of several Expodition members who returned to the Milky Way. She considers herself to have been replaced (after a fashion) by Lieutenant Laura Cadman and holds some personal animosity towards her because of it.  (ATL: "The Siege, Part 3", "The Intruder", "Duet")

Back at Stargate Command, Crown was promoted to First Lieutenant, and assigned to the Beta Site as part of a Marine Corps presence there. This placed her under the command of Captain Scott Radner, another Marine briefly been stationed with the Atlantis Expedition. She was one of several soldiers from the Beta Site who assisted in the evacuation of P3X-367 before it could be destroyed by the Ori.  (SGR: "The Arrow")

Behind the Scenes

Lieutenant Crown was portrayed by Allison Graham in 1 episode of Stargate Atlantis.

Her exact rank is not specified on screen. The Stargate Wiki considers her a First Lieutenant, but that would have meant she outranked Lieutenant Ford, which feels a little strange. However, Second Lieutenants in the US Marine Corps are usually promoted to First Lieutenant after 24 months, so either way she would likely be a First Lieutenant by the time SGR occurs. This wiki assumes she received that promotion after returning from Atlantis, towards the start of SG-1 Season 9.
