Jalen is a member of the Tok'ra.
History
Relatively new to leadership, Jalen was elevated to the Tok'ra High Council after the death of Cordesh at the hands of a Goa'uld infiltrator. She gravitated towards Selmak — not new to the High Council, but new to his host, Jacob Carter — who became something of a mentor to her, and influenced her into becoming somewhat sympathetic towards the Tau'ri. (SG1: "The Tok'ra, Part 2")
Jalen was involved in the planned relocation of the Tok'ra from their base on Vorash to a new world outside the current Stargate Network, for which a new gate address would be created, making it much harder for the Goa'uld to locate them. After the traitor Tanith escaped confinement and signalled Apophis, however, Jalen evacuated with the rest of the Tok'ra, and the Vorash Stargate was used by Samantha Carter to detonate the Vorash sun, destroying most of Apophis' fleet in the process. When Anubis attempted to circumvent the Protected Planets Treaty by attacking Earth with an asteroid — intended to seem like a natural disaster, in which the Asgard could not interfere — Jalen responded to the Tau'ri distress call on the Tok'ra's behalf, rescuing SG-1, which had become stranded on the asteroid's surface. (SG1: "Fail Safe")
After the death of Selmak, Jalen was one of the few Tok'ra who remained outspoken against abandoning the alliance with the Tau'ri and the Jaffa. While most of the High Council concentrated on the creation of a new Tok'ra Homeworld, Jalen chose to continue finding opportunities to work with the Jaffa and Tau'ri — and other offworld Humans, like Tagrea and Hebridan — feeling that by honouring those alliances she was continuing Selmak and Jacob's work. After the discovery of the Ori Supergate at P3Y-229, Jalen rallied three To'kra Ha'taks to reinforce the Tau'ri and Free Jaffa; all three ships were destroyed, but Jalen managed to escape, rescuing the Jaffa commander Cha'ra in the process. After such losses, the High Council doubled down on their introvert, isolationist stance. However, when the Tau'ri requested assistance from their allies in developing a Naquadria-powered augmentation for their Battlecruiser shields, Jalen took it upon herself to assist on behalf of the Tok'ra, whether the High Council was willing to approve that assistance or not. Behind the Scenes
Jalen was portrayed by Kirsten Williamson in 2 episodes of Stargate SG-1. She played an unrelated character in Stargate: Continuum, and has appeared in Smallville, Supernatural, and Dark Matter, as well as providing the voice of Storm in X-Men: Evolution.
Despite appearing in two episodes, Jalen has only one line of dialogue.
